Welcome to paul's place on the web

This is the website of Paul D. Andrews, currently Senior Scientist and Project Leader at Cellectis Stem Cells (formerly Cellartis AB the Swedish company that had a base in Dundee's Medipark).

I am interested in understanding how cell fate is determined during development using human embryonic stem cells as a model system. Of additional great interest is how somatic cells can be de-differentiated to become pluripotent. In previous work I led in the Drug Discovery Unit at the University of DUndee we used high content screening (automated microscopy) in order to identify small-molecules that can be used as chemical tools to activate or inhibit regulatory pathways in the cell. To find out more about this work you can follow the link here or the research link above. The recent paper shown below also might be of help.

Read about our latest published research which appeared in Biochem. J. and was spotlighted on the main page and elsewhere.
