Pierre Bize

I was born in 1968 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. My interest for images started early asmy father taught me how to draw and paint. Later as a student I have spent some time painting and even had the chance to expose some of my work. I started photography in 96 while travellling to South America.  I switched to digital in spring 2003. As a hobbyist I have kept on shooting B&W film and I still run a traditional B&W darkroom.

I am lucky to share the passion of photography with my wife Valérie who is the author of some pictures on this site. Our favorite subjects are Nature specially mountains, and Wilderness in general.

In the real life I am a radiologist at the University Hospital of Geneva.
