This Blog will be a running show of how I start to develop a hopefully successful internet business. Keep coming back and see how it progresses. Maybe by seeing my mistakes live you might be able to avoid some of them yourself???

There are many ways to get hosting on the internet. Some services offer free hosting but their bandwidth is often limited. For a more professional service you do need to pay and the price can vary considerably. It may seem strange hosting your site in the states but prices there are often cheaper especially when you consider they are posted in dollars rather than pounds. Many services offer affiliate links for promotion which is very good, but Host4Profit offer so much for commission that if you only get three referrals to take up the service your service becomes free. And they start off pretty cheap already!

One helpful way of getting blogs searched and ranked apart from manual submissions and pingomatic is the sharing of Blog 2 Blog links. From my researches on the Warrior forum there are a significant number of bloggers out there looking for links and offering similar in return. here are a few I bumped into. Check out their blogs too.

One of the biggest problems and one of the biggest costs in setting up any internet business is advertising. It is all very well having a brand new all spanky looking site to sell all your mega-affiliate stuff. If no-one sees it then you ain't gonna get much trade.
How's about an advertising site blog. Well there is one and its called Free Advertising Blog.
Check it out at : -
http://www.free-advertising-blog.com
You can also try google adwords but they are definitely not free.
As you know some of the best ways to get traffic to your site is through the search engines. And as you know search engines love blogs.
If you know how to use blogs you can easily get more traffic to your website just by posting your keywords in the title and having your blogs indexed.
Other ways to get traffic to your site is to use popular free traffic exchanges. They come in many forms such as start (homepage) exchanges, safelists (opt in email ads), toolbar ads such as instantbuzz.com and forums such as the free advertising forum.
If you are looking to kill 2 birds with one stone, you can advertise for free on a new BLOG that actually allows you to place your ads for free on their site.
The reason this is good because you get all the benefits of placing your ads on a BLOG and you all get to advertise for free.
Most people would look at this as a no brainer. Although most web-masters do not like people to advertise on their blogs, this site was made just for that.
It is free to join and thousands are flocking to this service to drive huge traffic to their sites in just days by simply posting one little ad on their home page.
Anyone looking to increase their profits should look in to

This is something I wrote in reply to a thread about newbies. As I am very much a newbie I thought it needed discussing further.
"I think the topic of this thread has wandered a bit but I hope you don't mind if I add my 2 cents.
As one of the much discussed 'newbies' out there I have bought a lot of ebooks and DVDs and other teaching materials. I have an advantage over some others in that as a doctor I had a source of income which could subsidise my training.
As a doctor I have absolutely no experience in IM or even the internet in general. I have puchased a few things off Amzon and Apple Store etc but otherwise I know nothing. I was tempted by the 'Get rich quick' schemes but fortunately I am old enough to be very aware that you get 'nothing for nothing'.
As a family doctor wanting to branch out into new income streams I paid very good money to learn how to do Botox treatments on ladies faces. Subsequently with experience I was able to charge other doctors reasonable fees to teach them these same skills. These skills and this practice have produced a tidy income for my time.
One of the things which has attracted me to IM is that there are only so many hours in a week and I was reaching 'capacity'. I was unable to make any more money as there were no more hours left.
On one DVD which I purchased a wise man said that there are three levels of income generation. Most of the population of the planet work at level one where they turn time into money. Someone pays them an hourly sum for their efforts.
On level two you use some of your time and specialist information to make money. This is probably where I reside as a doctor.
On level three you use some of your time and some specialist knowledge to create an asset, which then makes money for you by itself. The most easy example of this is if you write a book. Once it is written every sale makes you some income without any further input from yourself.
I was lead to beleive (and I hope it is true) that IM can allow anyone to produce an asset (web-site) which makes money 'Whilst you sleep." This is certainly my current aim.
I know that I need to learn a great deal to move from one specialist industry to another. I know that it is best to learn from other people who have already made that journey. I don't expect that learning to be free.
To any newbie who cannot afford any of these products, keep reading and maybe one day you will make enough money to reinvest in you education. To any newbie who can afford them. Do a little research and then buy the best ones you can afford. Probably over and over again. Someone else, very wisely, said that you should probably spend 10% of your income on further education. I am sorry if that seems like a lot.
To paraphrase a few of the venerated individuals who have commented above. There is no other industry where you can get in 'on the ground floor' for 'so little money'.
If I could guarantee you a $10,000 monthly income for life it would be worth well over $100,000. If you can parlay $500 and some effort on you part into the same then I would say that was very cheap.
Get this there is NO **** Get Rich Quick.*****
There is only
**** Get Rich Relatively Quickly with a lot of Effort on Your Part*****
I hope I haven't taken up too much of anybody's time.

Next you need a bank or some sort of banking facilities. For affiliate web-sites and similar products the most popular service is clickbank.
Clickbank
These people not only make sure you get paid by the affiliate sites but they can also handle payments on your site for your products. Taking all the credit card details etc.
Next you need to announce your site (preferably for free) so try
AddMe.com, Search Engine Marketing
You may then need some way of tracking you site and clicks etc. So try the link below.
Index tracking software!
This is a somewhat rambling post but I hope to do better tomorrow.
Ya'll cum back now Yer Hear!
Now to begin promoting my blog.
I have just used blogorama and pingomatic. If you want to try them out try this : -

or this : -
Blogarama
I am not sure which will work best for you.
Pingomatic is at www.pingomatic.com
So I have officially started. I now have a couple of web sites for you to peruse: -
www.EasyInternetEntrepreneur.com
www.BookWiz.info
I have also purchased several other domain names which will be useful later. I arranged most of this through 123-reg.co.uk. They will not only sell you domain names but they also do good cheap web hosting too. Check them out by clicking on the banner below.

They have certainly made some of the set up process simpler for me and I also have just begun my own rudimentary web-site build for my company information site: -
www.PACCLtd.com
I have had my first 'lesson' with Universal Coaching and my coach is the delightful Julie who certainly seems enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I have started doing this week's home work which is mainly to do with refining the domain names of my affiliate sites and setting up my email signature files. I have stacks of reading to get through and it is all very exciting at this stage.
Still no money yet though????
Have patience they say!!
But then those of you who know me well will be very aware that that is not my strong point.
The other thing I have decided to do is to redo the video of me from the bottom of the page with a smaller file size so it doesn't take so long to load.
That's all for now folks.

Sorry. I know it's been a while, but I have been busy.
What's the story so far. Well recently I applied for yet another affiliate program with a free web-site plan. It is called Book Wiz and as its name suggests it sells ebooks about home businesses etc.
Check it out on http://www.thebookwiz.com
As well as setting up the web-site for me I was e-mailed by a company called ESM who have offered for a 'significant fee' to hand-hold me through the delicate process of promoting my site and building up the traffic. They will 'mentor' me through the process of designing and building a landing site, and various staging processes before directing visitors to the sales page proper.
It all sounds very exciting if a little laborious. I did wonder whether I would ever hear from them again after I had paid them but on that note we shall see....
At some point you have to trust people and see where the wind blows.
You, Dear Reader, have one distinct advantage. You don't have to lay out any of this money, and all you need do is keep reading to see if it was successful or not.
Having said that if you feel the need to investigate further and purchase some of the ebooks to find out more information about how you might go about setting up something similar yourself then please click through the following link and take your pick of the many books on offer.
TTFN
I have just re-read the last article and I want to clear up something.
I might have given you the impression that I set this site up for you to click through and buy stuff from someone else in order to make me money. Whilst that would be nice I wouldn't want to hold you back from setting up exactly the same site for yourselves as well. It is very easy and genuinely doesn't cost a lot. If you want to see how you can do it for yourself try here.
http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main
Anyway I'll get back to you later on to tell you about some other developments and other sites. I've just got to work out how to sort out the links page yet.....
It should only take a couple of hours....
See ya Later.
One of the many things I found is that many people offer to set up a web-site for you. When you combine this with affiliate programs you can even get this done for free. As an example of this I have set up my own web-site with lots of links to training resources for internet marketing. Several of these can provide free information and advice about getting started. Seems like a win win situation to me.
Check out my new site at http://www.easyinternetentrepreneur.com
Now I can't guarantee it will make me any money, but I will keep you informed of my progress.
It couldn't really get any easier than that could it.
This was a short post but I'll be back with more detail later.
TTFN
Sorry it's been a while but I've been busy.
The next recommendation that I have got from many different sources is to start promoting other products with their affiliate programs. This allows you to earn commissions even if you haven't got anything to sell yet.
I hooked up with various good sites but one special one is the internet marketing centre. It was set up by a guy call Derek Gehl. You may not have heard of him yet but if you spend any time searching around in this field you'll get to hear his name a lot. Anyway for what it's worth I would recommend you setting up an affiliate program with this site.
Check them out on http://www.marketingtips.com
Not only does his site offer some stunning training stuff but if you join the affiliate program you get paid when others find his site through yours.
Maybe I have rushed that explanation. What is an Affiliate program? Put simply its like being paid for a referral. If you have a web site or set up one and you get people coming to your site for what ever reason. If you can get them to click through your site to the other one and make a purchase then you get a percentage of the price varying somewhere between 30% and 50%. Sounds pretty good to get paid even for a product you haven't made, you don't own, and you don't even have to handle the money. You just get sent a cheque at the end of the month.
Pretty good Huh?
Anyway there are many others just look around, but check this one out first as he has an excellent reputation for selling excellent stuff.
http://www.marketingtips.com
Oh and yeah to be totally honest if you click this link and buy some stuff I'll get paid a little too. But if you then log on as an affiliate you can do that exactly the way I have.
Kind of like Karma really. What goes around, comes around.
The answer to that is pretty much everything. I bought every 'Start your own Business' Manual. I hitched a ride on every 'Start a New Life' Course.
I looked everywhere for a job that would pay me enough money so I could retire at 55 and then get on with enjoying my life.
I read Stuart Goldsmiths' Inner Circle' which guided me towards the possibility of Direct Mail business. I then signed up for Andrew Reynolds program of 'Cash on Demand'. One thing he said that particularly struck home was that most people think they are looking for a job whereas really they want a lifestyle. they want the time off to enjoy the money they have made and the money is really to buy the time off.
So what I really wanted was a job I could eventually do in a few hours a day allowing me to spend the rest of my time on much more enjoyable pursuits. This certainly made a great deal of sense but where was I to find a job that would make me enough money in just a few hours a day to live life the way I would like to be accustomed to?
I then saw some DVDs of a series of lectures on internet marketing from Las Vegas last year organised by Carl Galletti. Some of them were a little too technical for me a mere beginner but some of them were positively inspirational.
So to paraphrase the great Victor Kayam...
I liked them so much I bought the company!
Well no I couldn't really afford the whole company, but I did purchase the licence to sell and distribute these DVDs as my first potential product.
So that was the next target, and this blog was one of the first useful pieces of advice I got off the DVDs.
Now I've got to learn a little copy-writing skills and start drafting a sales letter. As yet I haven't decided how to start selling. Do I go for direct mail first with some rented lists or do I start directly on the internet? Probably I'd be better off doing both.
I'll keep you informed of my progress.
So me and Ellie-May say
Ya'll come back now. Yuh hear?
I must have tried just about ev'rything...
Ok lets begin with a bit of background. Who am I, where do I come from, that sort of stuff?Born in Sunderland in the North East of England quite a few years ago.
