Welcome to our adoption website! This site will chronicle our journey as we travel to Kazakhstan to adopt our son, Carter Howard Ford. We created this journal to share our experiences with friends, family, and anyone else who wants to read it. Our journey to bring Carter home actually began in December 2004 when we signed on with our adoption agency, World Partners Adoption. Our version of pregnancy has consisted of mountains of paperwork, Fed Ex receipts, background checks, and waiting. The fun part finally began in late September when we received photos of the adorable little guy who is going to be our son (see above). Throughout this journey we have been overwhelmed with the generosity, encouragement, love, and kindness of family, friends, fellow adopters, and even friends of friends who we have never met. We will never be able to thank you enough for the support you have given us. We will do our best to update this website daily, so check back often. If you’d like to send either of us an email, just click "send Troy a message" or "send Paula a message" at the bottom of this page. We can't promise that we will be able to return them all, but we'll definitely read them! Also, we plan to save all of your email messages to share with Carter so he will always know how excited everyone is to meet him and how much he is loved. |
