Eight years ago I began taking horseback riding lessons. My first horse was a senior Leopard Appaloosa gelding named Spotty. Now I own a three and a half year old Lipizzan mare named Tallea.

I am awed by the beauty, grace, and gentleness of every horse I encounter. Painting challenges me to capture each one's unique nature.
