The Four Feathers and Then Some

I See Owls Everywhere
by Joe the Cat

Since I'm a cat, you must believe...
that I love owls ... oh, just as much
As I do the tranquil breeze.

But must I see owls replace pigs on banks
Holding your quarters and dimes?
Owls, owls .. although we both love rats:
Owls everywhere is a crime.

Those Keene-eyed birds are the rage this year.
On plates, fabric and more...
But must those feathers even emboss the sheets
That cover me as I snore?

Owls on shoes, as lamps, on everything around,
You're gobsmacked when you walk through a door.
I must say, being the observant Joe the Cat,
That we're in the Edward Lear Year of Decor.
