He was second in charge at the famous Royal School of Equestrian Art (known as the Spanish Riding School) in Jerez, Spain. Here he trained horses and riders in the classical principles of equestrian art. He, along with his riders, has given many exhibitions and displays throughout Europe. Some of these include:

1972 - An appearance by invitation together with seven of his pupils to perform at the Spanish Riding School's 400th Year celebration in Vienna.

1974 - The Spanish Riding School of Equestrian Art, Jerez invited the Spanish Riding School of Vienna to a reciprocal performance in Spain. In this year Manolo was presented with a gold whip by the Director and Head Rider of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna for winning the Grand Prix in Spain. This was also the year he was asked to train a horse for the King of Spain. |
1975 - Manolo and his pupils performed at Wembley by invitation for Queen Elizabeth followed by a demonstration (Grand Prix and High School) at the opening of the World Cup Showjumping at Amsterdam, Holland, followed by a performance in Paris for the International company Hermes. |
1978 - Manolo was invited to come to Australia by Ray Williams to be the Director and Head Rider at the El Caballo Blanco in Perth WA. He was later to direct El Caballo Blanco in Catherine Fields, Sydney.
1989 - Manolo was invited back to Spain to ride in the Official Opening Ceremonies of the new Spanish "Art Equestrian" School.
To this day Manolo has kept his classical principles of training pure. He says that he still learns from every horse he rides, be it a young horse who has just started training or a seasoned Grand Prix Schoolmaster.
