Buy Pixels
MillionPixelPoker Pixels are available in 100 pixel 'blocks'. Each block is 10x10 pixels. The homepage is 100 pixels wide and 100 pixels deep, so there are a total of 10,000 blocks of 10x10 pixels. If you've checked out Alex's page, you know that a 10x10 pixel box is about as small as you can go.
Each 10x10 block costs US$ 100.00, equating to a cost of US$ 1.00 per
pixel. You can buy as many as are left but no fewer than 100 pixels (one 10x10 block) at a time.
Please read all of the following T's & C's if you are
about to buy some pixels - especially those marked in red. Just so we
all know what the score is:
Term and Conditions:
- The minimum purchase is US$ 100.00 (100 pixels), and the maximum
purchase is whatever is left;
- When you 'buy' my pixels you will not 'own' any part of the homepage
or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image
and link which will then be published on the homepage in the respective
space you have paid for;
- You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them,
so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the homepage,
which will be there for at least 5 years. The only exception is if
you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link,
eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site,
lawsuits, etc;
Please note that a change of this nature will naturally come second to any new additions to the site.
- If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage,
you cannot receive a refund;
- The site and homepage will be online for at least 10 years (starting
from the day it launched), so at least until 15th October 2015, but
possibly even longer (that's the aim);
- No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, and I
decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or
link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an
alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose
your pixels;
- If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the
linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link
will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get
a refund of any kind for the link downtime;
- If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link
removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a
refund and the space will become publically available again;
- Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels
= 10x10 pixels);
- Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size;
- Images must NOT be animated (imagine how messy the homepage would
look);
- Links must be to web pages only and begin with 'http://';
- You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the
website you submit;
- Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your pixels go live
on the homepage;
- There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but I'll
try and keep these to a minimum;
- Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my PayPal
or bank account), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs
(but please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order
at the same time).
Ok great, so now you're all set to buy some pixels. There are two ways
to pay for pixels: PayPal (for smaller amounts) and Wire Transfer (for
bigger amounts).
PayPal
PayPal is the ideal payment method for purchasing 100 to 5,000 pixels.
Because the pixels are sold in $100 blocks, please ensure you order the
correct quantity of blocks when ordering. Once you have paid for your
pixels, please e-mail me at admin@millionpixelpoker.com
with the following:
- Attach your image as a GIF or JPEG (must be correct size for the
pixels purchased);
- State where you want your graphic to be placed on the homepage (eg.
"50 blocks across, 20 blocks down"). Make sure you are certain, because
you can't change it later;
- State which website you would like your graphic linking to (must
begin with 'http://');
- State what TITLE/ALT text you want for your image, max. 50 characters.
TITLE/ALT text appears when people hover their cursor over your image.
Current estimated time from ordering your pixels to going live on homepage:
24 hours (please allow up to 48hrs).
It's still worth getting in the queue as early as you can, in order to
reserve your spot on the homepage. Please note if two or more people in
the queue ask for the same position on the homepage, the person who ordered
earliest will have priority.

Wire Transfer
A wire transfer of funds to my bank account is ideal for larger purchases
of pixels (eg. US $2,500.00 and above). Please e-mail me at admin@millionpixelpoker.com
if you would like to arrange the purchase of pixels using a Wire Transfer
(a 10% deposit via one of the above payment providers may be required
if you want your pixels to go live faster).
