SuperKool Crate Pads work on the principal of evaporative cooling. Each pad is separated into cells, each containing highly absorbent polymer crystals. Once the crystals are hydrated, the fabric surface of the pad draws the moisture from the polymer to the surface. As the moisture begins to evaporate, the temperature is significantly lowered, resulting in an effective body cooler.
To hydrate, soak the pad in cool water for 15 minutes, or more. The pad will stay damp for several days, providing a continuous cooling process.
To clean your SuperKool Crate pad, hand wash in mild soap, or vinegar and water, rinse thoroughly, and hang in a well-ventilated area to dry. Only water is absorbed by the polymers. Do Not machine wash or dry!
To dry / store, hang in a well-ventilated area. Drying time depends upon humidity, amount of water used and length of use.
