| ... a ten-day house-party in Whitney
Court, an Edwardian pile in the Welsh borders, just over the river
from Hay-on-Wye. The Revels take place during the Hay
Festival (this year between 27 May - 5 June 2005), itself a deliciously
fecund gathering of writers, thinkers, musicians, foodies, politicians,
film-makers, luvvies, lushes, punters and liggers.
And on the edge, in our
pleasure palace, the Whitney Revellers primp, party and perform
into the small hours, making ours the Hay Festival's exclusive default
after-party every night, and an impossibly beautiful Wye Valley
refuge during the day. We're also the official Festival home for
Zembla, the
bold new literary magazine which soft-launched here in 2003, and
which will be throwing its annual Hayfest party here on 28 May 2005.
