Welcome to the pages of Australia's only active mechanical organ group. Our members come from all states of Australia and New Zealand. Most of our members own mechanical organs of various sizes from the smallest busker organs to larger portables and mighty stationary instruments. Some organs owned by AMOS members are historic, while others are new and many have been built by the owners themselves.

Useful links are FOPS (Fair Organ Preservation Society) in the United Kingdom and MMD (Mechanical Music Digest) and MBSI (Musical Box Society International) in the USA and in France, Musica Mecanica. These sites have links to just about every group in the world which is interested in mechanical music and particularly organ music. Organ makers, restorers and museums are represented in the links. Links to Australian sites such as mechanical music, steam and restoration sites will be added and readers are asked to submit links of interest.

A sample copy of the AMOS quarterly newsletter 'The Wind Chest' is available for download. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader v 4 or later to view and print the newsletter. This software utility could already be installed on your computer. After the download, click on the Acrobat icon and you will be able to read the newsletter. The newsletter in its form as a pdf document [portable document format] can be printed.
