No Snow, But IceAs you may have read over at my wife's
blog that we didn't have snow, but we had an ice storm instead. You
can read about here on FOX. The ice storm was really cool...
Sadly I had to go to work... Oliver didn't have to go to school till two hours
into the day. Normally he starts school at 7:40, but yesterday it was 9:45. The
same today for Olie. Even though we didn't have any more of the storm the day
was delayed. I had the joy of driving in the ice, because my school district is
pretty dumb! Anyway, ice storms are dangerous, probably more so then snow
because it is so heavy and snow is not. What happens is the rain falls and it
hits the trees and power lines and everything. So there ends up being a thick
layer of ice all around anything that is coming up out of the ground. Needles'
on trees are each wrapped in ice. Very nice, Very Cool, Very cold... Some
pictures of the weather:
The first picture is of Oliver's School Website stating that there is a weather delay, and the other is of a weather map showing the snow, ice, and rain... Posted: Fri - December 16, 2005 at 10:20 AM | |
