Captian Hook Goes To School

This morning I dropped Captain Hook off for school. It was so cool to watch him walk to the door. All these "traditions" of life are all starting to be "something." I mean prior to this Halloween it was a fun thing, but now they are starting to understand the getting of candy (At least Captain Hook, and Noah are). I watched Captain Hook get to the door at school and he opened the door and kept it open for other students to go through before him. I feel so proud of my son who is looking out for others prior to himself, that he is learning what it means to be polite, that he is internalizing the things of God (of course not all that from the opening of a door, but that was the beginning thought process). My continual prayer for my three sons is that I will be an excellent Godly father and example. At this moment I want to internalize the Captain Hook opening the door scene. Oh I know there may be days ahead where we butt heads and don't see eye to eye, but right now, here, this moment, I see my Captain Hook heading off to school being an excellent student, and telling me that he love Jesus. That is a good place to start.
