Notes on the 1900 Census
  • The above census data was found in a Fall 1976 search by Dave Jordan. The record was located through the use of the Soundex system.
  • An attempt has been made to reproduce all data exactly as it is on the original record; some wording changes have been made for clarity and further information on the meaning of column headings is on the census sheet.
  • Both Dwelling Number and Family Number are artificial numbers used by the census enumerator.
  • If wish to explore any of this data further, please contact Dave.
  • The address was very difficult to read. The "Sixty" is clear and it appears to be "Fifth". The Street address is confusing. It reads "44x" (there is a big ink mark over the last number), possibly the word "to" 451. There appear to be several families at this address. This is not unusual, but usually the several families have the same address as in a two flat or three flat.
