  • Frank Nemec married Mary Novak. Frank Nemec was Katherine Filipek's brother.
  • There is a discrepancy in the above census record for the names of the children. The names of the Nemecs first three children are: Anna (Jul 1892), Frank (Apr 1895), and Edward (May 1897). This data is accurate and comes from the Baptismal Records. The birth years and months of the children in the census record almost seem to match Anna, Frank, and Edward. It's as if the children's names were copied incorrectly from another family. What seems to be a strong match is the address at 218 25th Place, which is identical to the address where James Filipek lived as evidenced in the Address Records in 1890 and 1891 and also matches the 1902 Chicago Directory listing for Frank Nemec. In addition, the Frank Nemec and Mary Novak marriage records are for the year 1891 which is identical to the year above. The 1900 microfilm for this record should be viewed again to see if the children's name discrepancy can be solved.
