**Burial Record Comments**
It is not known which contagious disease she had. Her daughter Isabella died in 1892 of cholera and her son-in-law Williams Knowles died in 1897 of tuberculosis.

**Cemetery Map**
The Thomas and Margaret family plot is in the Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal. The plot is Section C, graves 853-G & H. It is registered in the name of Thomas Black Besides Thomas and Margaret two of their children, 3 Knowles grandchildren, and 1 Cameron child, probably a grandchild is buried there.	The 853 plot is in section C-6. During the summer of 1994 on a family trip to Montreal the Jordan family tried to find the grave. The Mount Royal Cemetery is a beautiful old cemetery high on a hill to the north and a little west of downtown Montreal. Unfortunately, the official grave markers in this area of the cemetery are very hard to find. Since we had so much trouble, we asked for help from the office and they kindly went out with us. After much searching we believe we found the spot, but it was covered in overgrowth. No grave marker was found and there was no close cemetery property marker to reference to. It is possible we were in the wrong place. We did take a picture of where we thought the spot was and said a prayer for our relatives from long ago.

William Knowles married Isabella Black, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Black in January 1877.	It is presumed that John A. Cameron, son of John Cameron is a granddaughter of Thomas and Margaret Knowles. John Cameron could have married Mary Black born about 1862 in Montreal.
