publications. Author of 6 U.S. and 1 European patents.
Held academic and research positions at the University
of Manchester in England, University of Alberta in Canada,
and at the University of Benin in Nigeria. Initiated
international research collaboration with scientists
at the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg
and more recently with scientists at the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology (ETHZ). Held a visiting professorships
at the Institute of Polymers in ETHZ in Switzerland
and elsewhere.

to polymer materials and chemical companies and national
laboratories. Expert witness on patent infringement
and process/product liability cases with law firms.

Professor of Polymer Science & Engineering, University
of Southern Mississippi, 2002-present. Responsible
for Teaching both undergraduate and graduate level
courses in polymer processing, rheology and product
design. Technical writing and oral communication.

Leader of the polymer engineering and composites research
group, University of Southern Mississippi, 2002-present.
Supervising a group of students and research associates
working on a number of research projects that blends
chemical engineering with materials structure and
property principles to understand and improve processes
for advanced materials. Actively involved in university/industry
partnerships to solve industrially relevant problems
that are often at the boundaries between established
disciplines or in areas combining many disciplines
that may ultimately lead to discovery. Empowering
young scientists & engineers to develop the discipline
to continue learning, and encouraging them to take
creativity excursions outside the imagined constraints
of their specialized areas that may ultimately lead
to exciting opportunities for the future.
