Photographs

Nearly all of my photographs here are travel photos, mostly from countries in South and South East Asia. They are categorised according to location.

In the past I've used a couple of Pentax Spotmatics with 28mm, 55mm, 135mm, 500mm, 24-48mm, 35-105mm, and 80-210mm lenses, and a Nikon F3 with 35-135mm lens. I'm currently using Olympus OM-1n and OM-2n bodies with 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 100mm, 135mm, 28-48mm, 35-70mm, 75-150mm and 100-200mm Zuiko lenses, Leica M6, Leica CL, and Cosina Voigtlander Bessa-R4A bodies with Leica Elmar 50/2.8 and Voigtlander 15mm, 21mm, 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm lenses, Olympus XA and XA-4 compacts, a Bronica ETRSi with 40mm, 75mm, 150mm and 200mm lenses, various fixed-lens rangefinders, and a motley assortment of rangefinder cameras (FED and Zorki) and lenses from the former Soviet Union.

My favourite film for many years was Kodachrome 64, but processing labs were hard to find overseas (and they're almost gone from everywhere now) and so I also used a lot of Ektachrome 64. My current favourites are Fuji Velvia and Sensia.

The earliest transparencies here were scanned using an Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner at 3200 dpi, and later ones using an Epson Perfection V700 Photo at 6400 dpi. Scans were resized and edited for this site using GraphicConverter for Mac.
