All three were big hits with the crowd, but the third was surprisingly the best! We all had a great time.

That was last night. I got in at midnight and was tired, so I went straight to bed without an entry. That brings us to this morning. I overslept, because I thought I had an alarm for Sundays on the machine. I did not. So, up at 9:30. Not terribly late. Still in time for breakfast with mom. We then spent some time breaking down the boxes she shipped the new chair in. Lot so fpacking peanuts, lots of styrofoam. So, she got to use the new vacuum cleaner I bought for th ecottage- it's a Eureka Combovac- stick vac with a removeable hand vac. Nice fort he cottage. She likes it.

Lunch was sandwich here at the house. Then off to the grocery store (first trip today). Bought some things, including mom's ticket off island on 8 July. We didn't get that at the grocery store, no.

Back home to get Bill's ashes, then out to the bridge at State Beach to scatter them to the water. I said a few words, mom did, too, and we were done. Maybe the body is only $20 worth of chemicals, but there's an incalculable wealth in the life those chemicals hosted for 82 years.

It's overcast and wet today. I predict such wether for the next couple of days, but I hope for something sunny and beachy. Always the positive attitude!
