Vacation 2009, Day Nine
Breakfast at 6:10, dialysis at 7:00, lunch at the Black Dog at 2:00 (chicken salad with a dill pickle spear, no picture- I forgot to take one until the salad was all gone), slow, easy drive the back way to the airport, mom's plane landed as I was pulling into the parking space, and we were reunited!
Easy!
Dinner at The Slice of LIfe restaurant here in Oak Bluffs. It's my mom's favorite. She had the SLice Salad- baked chicken, mixed greens, candied walnuts, bleu cheese, a sweet dressing. She discovered Izze drinks. I had the meatloaf (again, no pictures as I was done with it before I remembered), and the walk back to the cottage.
Tonight is the Summer Solstice Celebration on Circuit Avenue. Live music up and down the strip, plus shops and restaurants with wares on the street. No traffic- just walkers.
Since I need a picture for today's entry, I've got my mom on the bench in front of our cottage:
Yep. My mom. She said she wasn;t sure if she was ina picture taking mood, but I think it turned out OK. We'll take some more later.
