Vacation 2009, Day Five
I woke up. It felt good. Granted, it was 6:00, and who wants to wake up that early on vacation? But, I have dialysis at 7:00, which is actually really good, because it means I'll get out before lunch and have the rest of the day for beaching! Except today.
Today I came home and the roofers were here. I am here to insure that nothing gets injured. Besides, it's actually too cold to beach, and there is supposed to be a storm coming in, though it's very sunny right now. Might take a walk around Circuit Ave and the Ocean Park. Take some pictures. Maybe.
Meanwhile, here are pictures of the front of the cottage. First, the whole thing, from roof to grass.

What you can't see in this picture is the Wizard of Oz figurines in the flower beds, so, let me introduce you to Dorothy..

And the Scarecrow.

Followed by the Tinman.

And all three of them found the Cowardly Lion.

There are many families who comehere every year, and every year, their kids have the best time looking through the flowers to see who's where this year. Mom never puts them in the smae places twice. Not sure that's intentional.
I've been asked to do a self-portrait. Let me see what I can do right now:

Yep. That's me. I am sitting in the dining room. The cottage you see through the windows is our next door neighbors', the DeLisles. Yep, that close. About four feet. On oeither side! BArely enough room to scrape between.
So, after lunch, I sat down and finished the first draft of my short feature film's script. I like it. there are some parts that need fleshing out (which is a funny play on words, if you knew the subject matter), but that's all right- that's what second and third drafts are for.
