Vacation 2009, Day Four, Part Three
You wanted some, so here they are.
First, a yellow diamond, usually indicating a traffic warning. This sounded more like a date suggestion:

Next, also from Boone, NC, a sign that can exist only in NC:

What you can see in this picture. 221 North turns right. So does 421 South. I'm not kidding. Nor am I kidding that 221 South and 421 North both turn left at this same intersection.
First dinner on the island is always at Jimmy Sea's Pan Pasta Retaurant. Jimmy was ther etonight and made mu pan personally. He's a great guy. Courtney was my server. She is also the bar tender. Let's see. This is Courtney. She just graduated from the University of Vermont in Nutritional Sciences.

Next comes the vodka gimlet she served me:

Then the salad. Now, t his salad is simple, but amazingly flavorful! Simple lettuce, carrots, celery (yum!), onions, cucumbers, and a light oil and vinegar dressing.

Finally, the main course. The picture is the half I have leftover in my fridge.

There are no plates at Jimmy's. You are served the pasta in the pan that was used to cook it. That, my friends, is th eworld's best linguine carbonara ever!
I'll have pics of the cottage tomorrow. Might do pics of my dialysis team. Not sure how the feel about things like that.
More soon!
