Book Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Hmmm... wow?
This book went much faster than the other five.
More of everything, even Quidditch, but with it, the suspense that has been
missing form the previous books in the
series.
Prior to this, Harry Potter has
been ingratiating himself to his readers with his cries of, "Voldemort wants to
kill me!" But, you know something? Big V never really tried until the last
chapter of the books. In this one, however, danger lurks literally around every
corner, not only for Harry, but for all of those students and teachers at
Hogwarts who are fighting the good fight... those members of Dumbledore's Army
and the Order of the Phoenix.
I was
pleased to find the source of Tonks' maladies. Made me
smile.
The theme of this book? Love
conquers all.
OK... predictions, since
I've not read the last book and no one has told me anythign about it, nor have I
wandered across the internet
looking....
(1) Dumbledore is not
dead.
(2) Harry returns to Hogwarts next
year.
(3) Harry discovers that he is a
Horcrux.
Eh.. that's enough for
now.
So, seven wands out of ten, with a
special eighth wand for the way Rowling handled the battle in dialogue
flashback.
