It's getting close...
Did a build tonight. Bought some things. Did some
things. Here is a picture of the new surgery table with Evil Apprentice Colin in
place for the
moment.
It
looks pretty good to me!

Not the first build, but still...
So... the wall swap went painlessly! We now have
marble walls along the entire interior of the operating theatre. Dinner went
without a hitch... sandwiches were awesome, and, of course, the cholesterol
bombs were fantastic!
So, what went
wrong? As Evil Apprentice Ben was backing out of my driveway, he missed my
driveway entirely and landed in my
ditch.
We are waiting on my service to
get here to winch Ben's truck out of the Ditch of Doom.

All gone.
Thanks to the never-ending strength of the Ron,
Halloween is away, stacked into the crypt or the shed of the closet. We'll look
at it again sometime in July, I guess. Maybe May, since I spend half of June at
the Vineyard.
So, to everyone, all the
Monkeys and Evil Apprentices, to the other Evil Geniuses, many thanks! And to
all those for whom all this fun is had... see you next
year!

And, it's over.
Crackpuppies ran wonderfully... until the circuit
breaker blew. Several times. We think we might have burned out that remote.
Zippies ran beautifully for 4 hours! And then died for no apparent
reason.
But, 5 hours and 350 people
later, we are mostly inside and ready to go to sleep. More take down tomorrow
and the rest of this week.
Many thanks
to Queen Fashion Monkey and Cave Monkey and Evil Apprentice #1... none of it
could have happened without
y'all!
Pictures will be posted on the
Halloween site soon... might be next week before it happens.

One more weekend to go.
Friday afternoon, Queen Fashion Monkey came over
before Ron got here and we replaced the Mosh Pit monsters that had been
stolen.
Ron came up. He and Queen
Fashion Monkey and I wandered around and got some small stuff done. that was
Fri.
Yesterday, it was just Ron and me.
We spent three hours out shopping. we got back and got some more stuff done. Got
some lights placed. Did yet another finalization of the electrical layout. Made
yet more repairs to the foam walls. Got stuff ready to be
placed.
Death and Ghoulio are the big
props that have to get done for the event. Ghoulio is fine right now. Death
still has to be placed.
Hope all goes
well this week... it has to.

Stolen!
Young punks wild and free, gonna end up as Halloween
props. That's a poem, not a threat.
Yeah. Someone stole the Mosh Pit ghosties, including
Goofy Bob! And they stole the new Wraith Charles and the Wal-Mart Greeter! And
about 6 of the new tombstones.
Hmmm...
didn't think about it, but we do have an invisible identifier on most of the
stuff that was taken. Maybe we can find them using our superior technology. I
mean, let's face it... we have our own photo satellite! Shouldn't take much to
do an aerial survey at a one foot
resolution!
Maybe the items will find
their way back to my yard. would be
nice.
Be brilliant!

Fri, Sat, and Sun
Colin came over for a couple of hours Fri afternoon
and he designed and prototyped a new prop. He added a decoration to my front
bush/tree/flower thing.
Ron came in Sat
afternoon. We shopped, then came back to the house and ran power to the shed,
installed sound into the shed, and finalized Colin's new prop. We then went to
dinner. Went back to stores for more shopping and came back home for an episode
of Dr. Who. Spent some more time after that installing the new fluorescent shell
in the shed and a blacklight there for
Lilith.
Sunday, I awoke to critical
material failure and it just stayed with me all day long- walls, Zippys,
Crackpuppies, all failed. Around 4:00, I had to just leave Ron working on the
Crackpuppies and come inside, just leave it all behind. I cracked. So I wrote
lesson plans. And Ron got the Crackpuppies fixed. And the walls hang without
breaking now. And we have power on the left side of the porch. And lots of other
stuff got done, most of it is
invisible.
I finally got some pictures
of the house. I'll try to work on that tomorrow and get some new stuff posted to
the actual evil Genius Halloween site.

Picnic Day... playing catch up.
Ron came up and spent five days here. We got a lot
done! And, since then, disaster has hit in the form of many winds. Evil
Apprentice Paul helped me pull stuff in and repair a bit. We are now watching
Mythbusters. Always a good thing.

Syn, ROC, Cave Monkey and Spray Monkey
Yard is out, mostly. Cave Monkey did a fabulous job
laying out the graveyards. Spray Monkey was great on the spray paint. ROC and I
tried to fly the new Ghoulio... the line failed. I claim responsibility for not
checking it out. We will be using stronger line tomorrow, rated at 400 pound
tensile.
Will have pictures of the
AFTER despite have no pictures of the BEFORE. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to
tell what typically is and isn't in my yard on the normal non-October
day.

The season begins.
Ron came down. He is here all
weekend.
First, dinner at Margerita's.
Then, shopping at Lowe's and Wal-Mart. We are still under budget for this year.
Shopping tomorrow ti finish up the projects we need sunlight
for.
Added hanging hooks onto the back
of stoned foam. Redesigned and rebuilt Ghoulio. Rebuilt the Mosh Pit.
Reorganized the cabinet.
Tomorrow, new
support line for Ghoulio. New counterbalances for Ghoulio. New spider web over
the side yard for hanging props. Probably running power to various and sundry
outdoor locations. Will try to have before and after pictures tomorrow
evening.
Until then.
