ParentQuest, Part Three

More delays.

the 12:20 flight has been delayed until 4:00. My parents will have been stuck in DC for 6 hours. This just isn't going well for them today. This was the first time they flew into DC. If they had flown into Boston, they would have just caught the buss to Woods Hole and ridden in a ferry across. I would have had to find them in Oak Bluffs (here in town at the ferry station), or at Vineyard Haven. But that's the difference between Washington and Boston. They would have been here by now. What does this teach us? Not much; just that air travel is as hit and miss now as it was in the days before WW2. A little more sophisticated in its communications with crew and passengers and family, but still hit and miss.

Waiting until 4:00.
