A Little Bit About ME
My namesake. Great drink!

As I understand it, Orange Crush is a trademark of Cadbury-Schweppes corporation. I really need to get their permission to use the logo in my page, even with the glowing endorsements below. If anyone has any information on where and how I go about getting that permission, please email it to me so I can make it right by them.

The story so far: I was born at a very early age. Many people consider this an extremely bad move; I for one tend to disagree with them. I am here, so just deal with it!
The soft drink shamelessly splashed above is my unadulterated favorite. No, I don't make a cent from them. In fact, I'm quite sure that my purchases have financed many, many vacations for Orange Crush's executives. But what can I say? I'm hooked on the stuff.
I often am asked, "Gee James, where did you get such a nifty name?" I usually cringe at the usage of the word "nifty"; its usage disappeared about the same time as Izod t-shirts came INTO usage.
The name comes from a simple story, which, if you get comfy, I will tell you.
Once upon a time I was a teenager, seems like just yesterday. I had this car, a 1965 Pontiac LeMans. Competition Orange (and primer gray). I have FINALLY located some pictures of my car so here they are. Click on the image to see the full sized version.

Special thanks to my Mom & Dad for the collage, which hangs above my desk. The border is actually a leftover valve cover gasket from the engine rebuild. Mom & Dad took a bunch of slides that they found, had laser copies made, and put together the masterpiece above. I don't know if they'll ever fully understand how much this little collage means to me.Anyway, now I'm sharing it with you.
Before I was old enough to drive it, I tinkered with it. Learned to tune it, installed a stereo. One day I was installing my favorite new gadget-a C.B. Radio. But what would I call myself? I needed a handle. Something with a little more panache than "The Dynamite Kid" (my previous handle). I glanced at the soda in my hand...and a legend was born.
