The P.E. program at the Open School is designed to give students an arena to explore their physicality. Here they have an opportunity to learn what their bodies are capable of, and how to keep them running at an optimal level. The main goal is for studetns to see and understand the many benefits of being physically fit. A sense of well being goes a long way towards bettering ourselves and our communities.
We encourage students' interest in learning by providing training, support, and guidance. We acknowledge students' individual learning styles and develop curriculum to accommodate individualism and maximize student comprehension. We establish comfortable, student-focused, two-way communication to empower students to enjoy the learning process. Positive body language as well as positive verbal language is heavily encouraged.
