Who knew Bingo could be so cool?
Described by L.A. Magazine as, “One of the hottest, most dangerous things to do at night…” Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s is a bawdy and hilarious night of fun and fundraising that belongs on every Angeleno’s “bucket list.” If you’re thinking grandmothers at church socials, you couldn’t be further amiss. Hosted every Wednesday by Bingo Boy and the fabulous Brigette of Madison County (a drag queen), this raucous, racy bingo show benefits different local charities each week. Past charities include Babies with Aids and Doctors without Borders and of course Open Charter School. Last year we raised over $2,000 in just this one evening.

Legendary Bingo is open to the public and it’s usually a packed house. To make the most of your night, you’ll probably want to organize a group of 10 (the minimum required) and reserve a table for the 7:00 pm show. Without a reservation you’ll want to get to the restaurant at least 45 minutes early to ensure seating and street parking. Valet parking is always available. You may eat while you play or eat before you arrive – it’s up to you. The menu includes delicious burgers, veggie burgers, sandwiches, homemade chili and best of all Martinis! Bring $20 per person in cash to cover the recommended donation to play. Probably best to get a babysitter and make this and adult night out.
