Spring Cleaning can be a chore, but I think it's going to be fun! I'm cleaning out all the dust bunnies from the house, from my life, and from my mind. I've got a lot of sketches that I'm planning uploading to the site. I've recently posted a web log and feedback pages to the site, and I might have this little wavesite undergo some minor cosmetic adjustments.... Life is good.

Happy Holidays! Things have been goin great for me lately! I got a brand new 20" iMac G5, fixed up my office space, got addicted to Sim City 4 Rush Hour, and I'm getting my life together. Things couldn't be more great! As for my art, I haven't done as much as I should. I'll try to make it up to all of you, I promise! Hey, I know! That could be my New Year's Resolution! Boo-Yeah!

Wow, it's already been a year since I designed this wavesite! I haven't been a good boy though, wasting my life away playing video games. I'm gonna celebrate this one year anniversary and get my life back on track. To do that, I'll be doing commissions! That's right, folks! Dusty's gonna be an artist for hire, working on commissions as a full time job.

Stress, bills, work, unemployment, friendships, money, self-image, anxiety, depression, discrimination and a broken scanner has brought me and my talent into a recluse. During this time, I'm relaxing, keeping to myself, and taking up gardening. Until I get a new scanner, my wavesite's gonna stay secure on my iPod and I'm taking a break.
This is my reset button for life. Good thing I brought along a memory card.

The past month, i've updated, uploaded, and upscaled my wavesite! I made a new CaféPress online store featuring all my greeting cards that I've designed. I've updated Café Dusty, improved a few pages, and fixed a few sections. It's not much of an update, but I'm gonna try to get more really cool stuff online for you in the future. In the meantime, keep those hits comin!

Thanks people! Not counting my own hits, I've almost recieved almost as many hits in one week as Aimee gets in a day. I'm feelin' pretty special. Hey, I've got five new images uploaded in my Graphic Design Portfolio. Go check 'em out tf you want to. I feel a huge update coming this next week, so stay tuned, and keep those hits comin'!
Yes, I have been keeping track of my own hits...and I've been trying to keep them at a minimun...but the total score so far is 26 out of 321 the past week. So about 300 hits? Aint bad at all.
The five portfolio peices are ones that I've done a long time ago, but haven't really gotten around to uploading them to the site, and they're really nice too!
The next update is gonna have a whole bunch of brand new never before seen, sketches, ideas, and concepts, and some small wavesite enancements.

Check it out! I have a better website design! The old website was great and all, as well as the navigation, but now I'm giving you something with even more coolness! A navigation is featured on every page, which I like to call the "surfboard" the idea comes from my view that "the web" should be "the wave." This reasoning, I coined the phrase: "Oh, what a tangled world wide web we weave!"
The old design had a nagivation system placed only on the front page. I had a few emails (what little emails I get) complaining about how inconvenient and bulky it was to go back, try to navigate through the hub, and find the page you wanted. Now, direct your eyes to the top of the screen...first thing you notice, how sleek that beauty is. Featured on each page is this nice 3D, sweet lookin navigation, featured on each page, and nothing but simple to navigate. (Eat your heart out, Aimee...)
This "surfboard" has a history behind it. I had this wierd concept to tie everything about the internet that makes the internet into one "hub" or "surfboard" which would tie things like auctions, stores, art and poetry sharing, email, search, and personal homepages all on one website called WavesiteDX. Well, obviously, it wouldn't work out, since I'd be competing with major names that have already found their niche in the world. So I had to give up that idea, and I was stuck with a killer navigation system, with very little to work with.
I wanted to redesign my website cuz people just didn't get it. (Frankly, I didn't get it either.) But, I needed a navigation system. So I turned to my old project, took elements I already knew how to do, fix them up to fit my needs, and now, you got the "surfboard." Sure nagivating websites has been around for years...but none of then are as sweet lookin as this.
Now, tell me, surfing the web just doesn't make sense...how does "surfing" and "web" fit together? Sure, I've never been to the ocean to go surfing, but I know that webs and links just don't fit with such a freeflowing sport such as surfing. I may be changing the face of the "internet" with my redefining some key household words, but shouldn't it be more appropriate to surf a "wave?" This is my reasoning for calling my site a "wavesite." It just...flows.
Enjoy my new wavesite.
