Hi. This is now officially our old website. Please join us at our new website at www.gwrra-waa.org . It's much better looking. Has more features. And hopefully you'll like it a lot better. So ... bookmark our new location at www.gwrra-waa.org .
This site will no longer be updated as of May 20, 2006. Visit our new site at the web address in the previous paragraph. Thanks.
Welcome to the home page of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), Washington Chapter "A". We represent a single chapter within the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles; and, some would say, the world's largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.
The two most important things that we do are to ride our motorcycles and to have fun. Our age base varies from teens to eighties. What binds us together is our love for motorcycling and we are dedicated to safety and knowledge to minimize our risks and maximize our enjoyment.
Each chapter has its own personality and ours is no exception. We are Chapter "A" because we were the first commissioned GWRRA Chapter in Washington State; and, of course, our mascot is the Ape. We are a very active Chapter with events and gatherings occurring weekly. During good weather you will find us on the highways and byways every weekend enjoying our hobby.
Our monthly Chapter meeting is a breakfast time held at the Full Throttle Café (part of Renton Motorcycle Company located at 3701 East Valley Highway, Renton, WA on the 4th Saturday of each month (except November & December), and there is generally a ride following the meeting. In addition, during the summer we meet every Wednesday at 6pm at the XXX Drive-In in Issaquah. During the winter, we meet every Wednesday for dinner at 6pm at various locations. Times and directions are found each week in the meeting link found on this website.
If after viewing our web site you find that we may be what you're looking for, please contact me (see staff page) or stop by at our monthly gathering or one of our weekly socials. We would love to meet you. We may be a bit prejudiced, but Chapter "A" members are the most friendly people around. Our theme for 2005-2006 is "Making New Memories Together".
On behalf of the whole chapter, come join us.
See you soon!
