Deceptive Marketing

So it is starting to become clear that we have been taken in by AT&T Broadband's deceptive marketing. When we signed up for cable, we were told our package cost $34.99, period. No mention of a special three month promotional rate. Now, three months later, it is crunch time.

We switched from DirecTV because
a) DirecTV would randomly bill us for pay-per-view events we didn't order and
b) the promise that TVJapan was be available through cable

Three months later
a) AT&T Broadband also engages in suspect billing practices
b) TVJapan isn't available to us via cable.

So there is no advantage in going with AT&T broadband. In fact, I think DirecTV had better customer support: When we called DirecTV, at least they didn't ask us for an identification code that we didn't know. What to do?
