Raiatea Helm



Went to see the Makaha Sons tonight at Benaroya Hall. It was supposed to be a night of great Hawaiian music and hula, and it didn't disappoint. But Raiatea Helm stole the show. An unassuming 18 year old from Molokai who can hold one of her golden notes seemingly forever, she is bound to light the Hawaiian music scene on fire. Makaha Sons should be commended for bringing her onstage knowing that she would be upstaging them.
