I took my family to the Vet



Veterans Stadium that is. After telling Tomo over and over that the Philly Phanatic was the best mascot ever, she finally got the see the green furball in action. Now she understands. She is a convert. But the question is, why isn't there more Phanatic merchandise? I know I'd buy a Phanatic t-shirt in a heartbeat.

Meanwhile, Staffan discovered that Philadelphia is a little different than Seattle, where the fans are generally nice. The people who sat around us at the Vet were great -- they booed, they heckled, they booed, they shouted, they booed some more. I loved it. We taught Staffan that booing is how people say "Welcome to Philadelphia", And that's not very wrong.
