Mon - February 10, 2003George Bush Doublespeak at its BestApparently, going to war is the same as keeping the
peace. Speaking about France, Germany and Russia balking at launching an attack,
Bush says:
"It's a moment of truth for the United Nations. The United Nations gets to decide shortly whether or not it is going to be relevant in terms of keeping the peace, whether or not its words mean anything." The question seems to be, do Bush's words mean anything? I say, by all means, the UN had better be relevant in terms of keeping the peace, and if that means not going to war, then that's the price we'll have to pay.
