The major event in a week in Oahu was Mihoko & Yohei's wedding at Kahala Mandarin.
This toilet sign at Honolulu Airport has nothing to do with their wedding, but Tomo-Hoku really liked it.
We stayed at Aloha Lani condo's penthouse. Mark and Makamae (bird) are the owners.
We had dinner at Lanai. Good food from Daiei wlecomed us.
The view from the lanai (34th floor) was spectacular!
The bride to be, Mihoko, smiles with a beer.
"This is the best watermelon I have ever tasted!" says Olof.
Mihoko & Yohei enjoy breakfast at our penthouse.
Menu: Natto, Rice, Miso Soup, Seaweed, Olof's favorite watermelon, Guava Juice
Sticky strands of Natto flew very well with the wind of 34th floor,
which makes Mihoko happy.
Tomo-Hoku's parents joined us for the Star Of Honolulu Dinner Cruise.
And Staffan enjoys his glass of champagne...
Yohei, his brother and sister, Jiji & Baba, and Hellman family went to snorkel at Hanauma Bay.
Brothers did Sumo on the beach.
Can you tell who won the game?
Dim Sum in Chinatown. Yoko, Yukiko and Miho tasted very good shu-mai.
Hoku's father looked extrmely happy dining with beautiful girls...
Thank you for arranging the event, Sachiko!
Scott, did you have enough to eat?
Breakfast at Halekulani with the Kuramura couple.
Scott, did you have enough to eat?
Staffan enjoys pinapple juice, this must be his 4th cup.
Telephone rang:
"Hi, this is Natsuko... I don't think Goldmans can come to the wedding."
Hellmans decided to act for this memorable moment:
"What, what??? Oh, my god!" - Notice, Olof looks like an American.
While Tomo-Hoku and her mom were taking a hula lesson,
the boys decided to visit Pearl Harbor.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Hoku's at Kahala Mandarin Hotel.
Mihoko & Yohei's room was so gorgeous!
They had champaigne, so...
Food at Hoku's were EXCELENT!!!
Olof was impressed.

What a beautiful couple!
The wedding coordinator explains what is supposed happen, and what should not be happening.
Practice makes perfect.
It's always difficult for father of bride to know where to stand.
Here comes the bride...
Karl was just the right person for this wedding.
His Japanese was wonderful!
Blue ocean, white dress, red hot kisses...
Congulatulations! We are so happy for you!
May your marriage filled with mouthful of sweetness.
Karl married us 7 years ago in Tokyo.
He deserves a lot of credit as we are very happy couple!
Tomo-Hoku and Katsue were both dancers for the reception.
Yohei's sister, Ayako, sang a cute Japanese love song.
Tomo-Hoku danced 4 Hula songs with lots of Aloha.
Katsue's Hip Hop dance was amazing!
Yohei played the song that has many good memories for the couple.
The local musicians were also very good.
Yohei's father hummed to a Beatles number.
Olof dancing with bride after a couple of maitais,
and everyone was dancing after lots of maitais.
This was a very fun, relaxed and non-Japanese style wedding.
There was no one singing "My way."
The dole pinapple garden.
This is how pineapples grow.
Northshore's stop was at Matsumoto Store's famous shave ice.
Telephone rang:
"Hi, this is Mihoko, where are you?"
Tomo-Hoku answered:
"Hi, Mihoko-chan, Did you fight with Yohei yet?"
We had a party at our penthouse,
with lots of food and drinks.
Everyone "Kanpai!"
Mihoko's father looked happy,
Karl looked happy,
Scott looked happy,
(did you have enough to eat?)
and Mihoko looked the happiest!
We continued our party in the hot tub on our Lanai. Details have been censored on account of the 'appropriate use policy' of our web hosting service.
Another early morning trip to Hanauma Bay.
"The early bird catches the fly": free parking and free entrance to the bay.
Breakfast on the beach is always good.
Ken was soooooo sleepy this time.
We saw lots of fish.

And, don't forget Kalua Pig at the Imu!
The newlyweds enjoyed more maitais.
Of course, everyone enjoyed more maitais.
The Winners!
Baba was happy to meet a Fire Dancer from Tonga.
Lots of fun, but it's time to sleep...
Mahalo, everyone!
