The Mobile Fringe by Kukan StudiosWent and caught up with Che and the team from Kukan Studios, based here in SA.
They are doing a lot of game porting work and some fun apps for mobile. As part
of their sponsorship of the Fringe Festival and they have done a version of
their MiniNAV
application for the events on at the Fringe.
Although we had some issues getting it onto my Sony Ericsson T630 (there was an incredibly short time frame for this project so they are still refining things before they start widely publicising it), it works beautifully on my Nokia 6680. You can search for a variety of things and it returns a list of overviews, you can then get further details on a particular performance (including times & price) and then even see a map of where the event is held. If you've seen the telephone-book-like guide to the fringe festival, you'll know that this is a much smarter approach once you're out amongst it and for quick references.
