The Great Escape



Went out to The Great Escape on Sunday. It was the perfect day for it, sunshine, clear blue skies and a bit of a breeze to take the edge off the heat.

The highlights were:
- Bernard Fanning
- Josh Pike
- The Mountain Goats
- Xavier Rudd (below)

But really it was just one of those lazy days of relaxing with friends and listening to whatever's on.
The festival actually went over three days. It was one of the best festival layouts I've seen, with plenty of space for everyone and a very relaxed vibe (or maybe because it was the last day it was simply exhaustion). There was a huge range of stuff including performance art, a yoga lawn, exhibitions, markets and a huge variety of wonderful food. There were four main stages and a broad range of musical styles.
