OSspray has achieved CE Mark (European regulatory approval) for its cleaning and polishing powder. This, together with the FDA 510(k) approval achieved last year, means that OSspray's powder can now be sold in both the US and EU markets.

OSspray appoints Jackie Walker as CEO.  Jackie brings to OSspray considerable experience of the US dental market, having worked at Dentsply for 13 years, latterly as the General Manager of Dentpsly's Professional Division, which was responsible for Dentsply's air abrasion equipment.  Jackie is based in York, PA and will be spearheading OSspray's US market launch.

A second closing of last year's investment round has been held, to accommodate additional demand from angel investors.  An addition al £200,000 has been raised from a mixture of existing shareholders and new business angel investors, which will allow OSspray to progress with the formal clinical validation trials planned at Guy's Hospital in the UK and at a leading dental research centre in the US.  The management team was particularly pleased at the support shown by existing investors in the company.

January 2007
OSspray Ltd is delighted to announce FDA approval of the company’s first product, the OSspray Cleaning Compound (working title). This means the product is now legally approved for sale in the US, and enables the team to commence further user testing in the US. These tests are currently in the planning stage, and further updates will be issued in due course.

OSspray Ltd appoints Michael Crane as a non-executive director. Michael has extensive experience in the dental field both in the US and Europe as a former executive of Dentsply Corporation. Michael brings a significant wealth of contacts and experience of commercializing dental technologies to the team.

OSspray Ltd has selected a number of US-based dental practitioners to undertake user acceptability trials early in 2007. These trials will provide the company with completed evidence of the efficacy of the first OSspray product.

The team has closed a funding round of over £200k, comprising investment from the management team and selected angel investors. OSspray Ltd completes a series of in vitro efficacy trials with stunning results! The tests demonstrate significantly improved cleaning, whitening and de-sensitising capabilities of the powder compared to existing treatments.  For further information please contact Piers Robinson.
