Bequia has a
total surface of about 4.500 acres, but a large part of the island consists
in steep hills and cliffs unsuitable for development: they actually look beautiful
just as they are, unspoiled by human presence and activity.
Residential development in Bequia is concentrated around the harbor of Port
Elizabeth on west, Caribbean side, and around the airport, on the south-east,
Atlantic side.
Expatriates have built about a hundred residential villas in Bequia, mostly
in the north, atlantic side and on the hills overlooking Admiralty and Friendship
Bay.
Cloud 9 estate is a 10 acres property located on the top section of one of
Bequias highest hills, between 500 and 650 feet above sea level, and
enjoys some of the best views available on the island, both towards Admiralty
and the Caribbean sea and towards the southern grenadine islands and Friendship
bay, on the Atlantic side.
The property is surrounded by over 100 acres of forested, undeveloped lands
on three sides and borders on the west with a 30 acres estate that includes
a number of already built residential villas.
Cloud 9 can be reached by a newly built private paved road. It includes 9
lots suitable for residential development, with surfaces ranging from 25.000
to 85.000 square feet (between 2.300 and 8.000 square meters). Each lot will
be served by underground access to electicity, telephone and cable TV.
Land prices in Cloud 9 start at 6 US$ a square foot, including the road and
underground connections.
