Apple updates iCal with stability, performance boosts
By Peter

Apple has updated iCal , its
calendaring application for Mac OS X users. The new version gains performance
and stability enhancements, according to Apple, and also adds a new viewing
option.
iCal can be used to unify
and manage multiple calendars, and can also be used to publish those calendars
to the Internet or to an Intranet, either using .Mac if you have a subscription,
or to any WebDAV-enabled server.
The
new version of iCal, v1.5.2, adds a new option to view your calendar, event or
To Do information either in a drawer or a separate window, as well as the
previously mentioned performance and reliability enhancements.
Apple notes that if you're using its
data synchronization software iSync to synchronize calendars across different
computers, you'll need to make sure that each computer is running iSync 1.2 or
later with this version of iCal.
The
new version of iCal can be downloaded from the Web site or through the Software
Update system preferences pane.
