Cubes
In the Puddleby casino, there is a new game called cubes, which is very close to standard casino game craps. It differs in that one must increase their bet every time they roll, which fundamentally changes the game.
In a standard game of craps, the shooter has a 49.3% chance of winning, which translates into an expected return of 98.6 coins for every 100 coins bet.
However in cubes, if the player bets the same amount on every roll, the player has an expected return of 86.4 coins for every 100 coins bet. This game's expected return borders on thieft, and should only be played by those wanting to 'roll-play' a rube. The slots in Vegas return about 90%, which is bad but at least they give the slot player a chance to win a big jackpot.
All that being said, with a little thought most exiles should be able to recognize a simple strategy to increase their expected return if they do want to play cubes. If anyone emails the strategy to me, I will gladly email them back the exact expected returns for the strategy.
