Vegas Quickie

Just got back from a quick stop at Vegas.

Didn't play much poker. Out of the 35 (out of 40) hours I was awake in Vegas I managed to play a little 3/6 Hold'em at the Harrah's where I happened to be staying. If you haven't been to the Harrah's poker room, it's its own room right next to the sports book. Has about 8-10 tables and a typical day they spread 3/6 Hold'em, 1/2 and 2/5 blind NL hold'em. I decide to hop in a 3/6 Hold'em game and find out I'm not in the mood to play poker really. I do try to play good and apparently I did ok for being able to leave the table up $21. Wheee. The next morning I go down to play their NL Hold'em tourney. $40 buy-in and one optional $40 rebuy. Start with 1500 in chips with blinds at 25/50. 20 minute rounds. The structure is ok for a cheap morning tourney. Players are super horrible. I just sit there trying to stay awake. I finally see the best hand I've had in an hour, AQo and push. I get called by QQ and know I'm out the door but hey it's an Ace on the flop. Now I'm freerolling. I go out with KQ vs QJ with a J on the river.

Just haven't been motivated to play lately. A lot of it has to do with lack of bankroll at the moment. I don't like playing satellites anymore. I don't like playing small tourneys anymore either. Only low-limit game I'm going to play is Omaha 8/b but that's such a grinding game. At this time I'm just going to work as much as possible and try and come up with a bankroll so I can get back in action. I'll probably take a couple stabs at some tournaments here and there but mainly just going to lay low for now. I do the daily evening tournaments Mon-Thur now so I have my weekends off which is great. Eventually when I do get a bankroll back I'd like to be able to head out to Vegas on the weekends on a regular basis
