Elegy of Blood

Detroit by Night

Next Session:
The Game is Over!
Thanks to all our players!
Last Update: 12/25/2004

The end has come. The power of the Curse of Caine is broken, and his childer had either died or adapted. The world belongs to humanity . . . for now.

Who are we?
Elegy of Blood was a Live Action Roleplaying game (LARP) set in Detroit in White Wolf's World of Darkness setting, being played in Ann Arbor, MI. The game focused on the Sabbat living in Detroit, who are, in the wake of the recent loss of New York City to the Camarilla during the mostly successful East Coast attacks in 1999 and 2000, suddenly the largest and most prestigious city of Sabbat in the US. The game focused primarily on the internal politics of the Sabbat, as well as their conflicts with outside factions.

Elegy of Blood was set in Detroit in the Final Nights; we tried to stick as close to White Wolf's canon as possible. The players took the roles of Sabbat citizens of Detroit, which had been a bastion of Sabbat power for decades. Refer to the City History page for information on the supernatural history of Detroit, as well as actions which have taken place during play. This page contains summaries of all the events of the game, so if you're curious as to what happened, and how the world ended, check it out.

There's also a postmortem availible in the Rants subsection of the Miscellany, written by Andy, one of the storytellers, which contains some of his thoughts about the game, what went well, what didn't, where it was going before it became a Gehenna game, etc.

Regardless, feel free to wander about the site and find out about our game. Thanks to everyone who played; you're the ones that made this game so much fun for all of us!
