I am Günter Obiltschnig, a software engineer with 16 years of experience doing software development and architecture. My main interests are distributed systems, embedded systems, XML and middleware technologies. Despite occasional adventures in the Brave New World of Java and .NET, I still like to express my thoughts in C++. I live in the southern part of Austria, but I travel the world whenever possible. I am in the lucky position to work for my own company, Applied Informatics.
I have studied Computer Science at the University of Linz, Austria and I am a member of the ACM, the IEEE Computer Society and the Association of C and C++ Users (ACCU).
