4. 3-Point Horizontal Resection 5. 2-D Co-ordinate-based Intersection Program 6. Traverse Closure using Latitude and Longitude, and the Gauss Mid-Latitude Formulae 7. "Missing Azimuth of One Side & Missing Distance of Another" Closure Solution 8. Crandall's Adjustment for a Closed Traverse (Note: uses 7 labels!) Curves 1. Compute Values for a Parabolic Vertical Curve (Note: uses 6 labels!) New Program! Triangle Solutions 1. Solutions for Plane Triangles: all 5 basic cases covered, each in their own program Radiations 1. Computing a Radiation given Two Offsets from Two Lines of Known Azimuth Mathematics 1. Roots of a Quadratic Equation New Program! Utility Programs 2. Co-ordinate 'Forward' and 'Inverse' (not actual programs, but keystroke sequences) 3. Co-ordinate 'Inverse' 1: Azimuth and Distance from Co-ordinates 4. Co-ordinate 'Inverse' 2: Bearing and Distance from Co-ordinates Lambert 1. Lambert Traverse Computations [This program converts ground measurements (angles and distances) to Lambert Conformal Conic projection 'plane' measurements, so that a traverse may be computed using conventional plane methods.]
Lambert 2. Convert Latitude and Longitude to Lambert Conformal Conic Co-ordinates (SPCS, etc.) New Program! TM 1. Transverse Mercator Traverse Computations [This program converts ground measurements (angles and distances) to Transverse Mercator projection 'plane' measurements, so that a traverse may be computed using conventional plane methods.]
TM 2. Convert Latitude and Longitude to Transverse Mercator Co-ordinates (UTM, SPCS, etc.) New Program! XYZ 1. Convert Lat, Long, Ellipsoidal Height on any ellipsoid to XYZ Geocentric Co-ordinates XYZ 2. Convert XYZ Geocentric Co-ordinates to Lat, Long, Ellipsoidal Height on any ellipsoid Traverse Closure using Latitude and Longitude, and the Gauss Mid-Latitude Formulae Other Useful Things HP-33S User Manual Download (a 2.63 MB PDF download) Legal stuff, license, copyright, etc. for this website and material Free Training! HP offers Computer-based Training, virtual classrooms, downloadable material and other good stuff to help you get the most from your calculator. Click on the links below to get to the HP calculator website. There are links there to get you around what HP have on offer. The HP-33S has some training materials to help with the FE/PE exams, as well as other materials. Get the 27th 'Label': A Work-Around Squeeze one more program in! Click here for one method. Special News!! HP has recently released the HP-35s. This is similar to the HP-33S, but overcomes the main programming limitation, in that while there are still just 26 labels, you can now direct program execution to specified line numbers. Also, the calculator will update the GTO instructions as line numbers change with editing! In the coming months, I plan to update the HP-33S programs to run on the HP-35s. These updated programs will be available in an adjacent, parallel web-site, so that the two can be dealt with separately. Some programs will work on both calculators, but if there is any rectangular to polar (or vice versa) conversion, they won't. I will update the current programs on this site, which will remain while the HP-33S is still in regular use, but will also develop some for the HP-35s. While the HP-33S remains in production, I will try to write software for both calculators, as they are fairly similar. |
