"In the name of God Amen. I Peter Schriver of Manchester Township, York County Pennsylvania, being in feeble health but of sound, mind, memory and understanding, aware of the uncertainty of this transitory life do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit:
First - It is my will and I do order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid as soon after my decease as can be conveniently done.
Second - And as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows to wit:
Item - I give and bequesth unto my beloved wife Nancy Schriver such of my personal property as she may elect to retain. The ballance of my personal property I direct shall be sold by my Executor hereinafter named, and the proceeds thereof after deducting the debts and expenses of my estate shall be placed at interest for the benefit of my said wife and family.
Item - I give and bequeath unto my said wife Nancy during her natural life, my house and lot of Ground in King Street west of the Codorus Creek in the Borough of York, Penn'a. She to hold and enjoy the same for and during her natural life, and at her death I direct that the same shall be sold by my Executor hereinafter named or his Successor, and good and valid title made for the same to the purchaser thereof, and the proceeds of the sale of my said House and Lot, I direct shall be divided equally among my Children or their legal representatives.
Lastly - I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my esteemed friend William McCandless to be the Executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I Peter Schriver the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty sixth day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty."

[On back] "York County SS - Before me A M Herschy Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of Administration in and for the County of York and State of Pennsylvania personally appeart Edwin Tyson and George M Shetter the two subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing will and being duly qualified according to the law did depose and say that they where personally present and saw and heart Peter Schriver the Testater Sign seal and pronounce and Declare the within and foregoing Instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and at the time of so doing he the testator was of a Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of there knowledge and belief and that they witnessed it at his Request and in his presence and in the presence of Each other at the Same time. Sworn and Subscribed before me this 26th day November 1860" - A M Herschy Register
