October 2007
Two more batches of chemo caps (some with matching scarves) provided some autumn-colored options at the Wellness Community.

October 27th was the annual "Make A Difference Day" in Frederick, Maryland, organized by Carewear volunteers.
I spent the full 5 hours there crocheting caps for preemie
babies (OK, I took necessary breaks for snacks, lunch, and such...),
finishing the fifth cap just as the folks from the hospital came to
collect the 1742 items that had been knitted, crocheted, and sewn for
the day. Of course, leftover yarn came home with me, include a bit more
of this lovely variegated yarn in thecolor labled "Monet."
