As I mentioned in the meeting we are looking for names and address of 25 people from the Tangletown neighborhood to whom a personal letter of invitation will be sent regarding the South Lyndale Development Workshops. The Mayor will be writing the letter. We believe that identifying "leaders" in the neighborhood is a good way to build a base of participants. We would also like the names and addresses of your board members as you and they will be invited as well.
We need the names by September 6th. I'm asking the same from the Lynnhurst board and suggesting that each board member contribute 4-5 names. That way with overlapping, we will come up with at least 25.
One other thing. The LASR-CC group (Lyndale Ave. South Renewal - Creek to Crosstown) has been meeting for the last 3 years. It is technically a sub-committee of the four neighborhoods (Tangletown, Kenny, Windom and Lynnhurst). Since it's been around for three years, membership has waned a bit. Suzanne Rhees, from your neighborhood, has been an active participant and still is, but we would like find another person from Tangletown who will actively participate in the group. In addition to the South Lyndale Workshops, we will be working on the Master Plan for the corridor. This is a very important and long-anticipated project.
If you know of someone, please send there name along to me. Also, since we have contact with people from the various neighborhoods, if someone from Tangletown comes to our attention, I will let you know so that you can "interview" the person for this position.
