Q and A
Project: Each person will address 2 questions asked by 2 other people in the group. This address must take the form of a distinct thing and be of value to the person whose question it is responding to. As each question will have 2 "answerers", collaboration is encouraged and the two can take COauthorship of a single articulated and doubly rich response. Also, as each "answerer" will have 2 questions, they can combine these into a single doubly rich and well articulated response*.
Please keep the following in mind when considering your collaborators: We put considerably considerable consideration into each of them. The matches were made with either conceptual or technical affinities in mind. None of them are arbitrary. Think about how the mediums you work with and the conceptual framework that you have developed in your own process might help crack someone else's conundrum. It may be that the way someone is visualizing their project is obscuring an easy technical solution. Your background and understanding could be invaluable in fomenting a creative paroxysm that severs a ligation to a dubitable paradigm in favor of a new way of perceiving.
You may be able to put it in plain terms.
Answers may take the form of, but are not limited to, sculptural objects, functioning programmic solutions, illuminating texts, mechanical elements and relevant media. Answers must contain a significant amount of original work.
3-5 Bring to class a strategy for beginning to answer your 2 questions. Be prepared to discuss this strategy in an articulate manner.
3-12 Spring break. This is where email really kicks in... ^
3-19 Present your answer to the asker and the class.
