Descriptions listed here in descending order contain our feedbacks about Version 10.5.4 (Build 9E17) which we have been posting.
Modified: 09/20/2009There are items that are "Group Albums", "Group Artists" and "Group Composers" at the 3 kinds of tabs (Albums, Artists, Composers) in "View as Grid" which is a new feature of iTunes 8. This feature does not support Japanese language.
In the case of "Albums" tab Follow the procedure below.
The albums with the initial letters having alphanumeric characters will be classified as "A", "B" and "C" in the alphabetical order. The albums with the initial letters in Japanese language should be classified into the order of Japanese 50 phonetic characters such as "あ", "い" and "う" in the same manner.
However, the all the artists with Japanese initial letters are classified into "#" along with the albums having numeric the initial letters actually.
In addition, choosing other items from "Sort Albums" in the "View" menu, they are displayed normally regardless of having Japanese language.
In the case of "Artists" tab Follow the procedure below.
The artists with the initial letters having alphanumeric characters will be classified as "A", "B" and "C" in the alphabetical order. The artists with the initial letters in Japanese language should be classified into the order of Japanese 50 phonetic characters such as "あ", "い" and "う" in the same manner.
However, all the artists with initial letters in Japanese language will be classified into "#" along with the artists having numeric initial letters actually.
Follow the procedure below.
The composers with the initial letters having alphanumeric characters will be classified as "A", "B" and "C" in the alphabetical order. The composers with the initial letters in Japanese language should be classified into the order of Japanese 50 phonetic characters such as "あ", "い" and "う" in the same manner.
However, all the composers with initial letters in Japanese language will be classified into "#" along with the composers having numeric initial letters actually.
Its support for Japanese language is not enough. We hope it to be improved so that their initial letters in Japanese language will be classified into the order of 50 phonetic characters such as "あ", "い" and "う".
When clicking "Genres" tab from "Grid View" which is a new feature of iTunes 8, the songs are classified into each genre and grid artworks are displayed accordingly.
Do you recommend English expression to the name of genre?
However, iTunes 7.5 and later versions are designed to display genre in Japanese. The following two items are the evidences.
The overall design of iTunes 8 is unnatural. We wish the following two improvements.
Checkmark to turn on the "Keep movie window on top of all other windows" after choosing "Advanced" in the iTunes "Settings". However, being against the settings, the window is hidden behind the most front application window when playing movies.
The window was displayed on top of the all other application windows when using iTunes 7.7.1.
In addition, Mini Player is always able to keep on top of all other application windows.
There is a display showing capacity at the bottom of the iPhone Settings screen of iTunes. An item called "Applications"(アプリケーション) has been added, but a part of the character string is hiding by an item "Other" (その他) on the right hand.

There are three columns in "Browser" such as "Genre", "Artist" and "Album". We could make "Genre" hide till iTunes 7 version. However, we cannot make it hide.
Please revive the option to be able to hide "Genre".

(iTunes 8 browser)
We have operated as follows.
Choosing "iPod" - "Playlists" from iPhone, only the "Playlist A" should be displayed originally.
Only the "Playlist A" is displayed actually. These are the correct behaviors so far.
However, opening iPhone from the "Devices" column of iTunes, the "Playlist B" and the "Playlist C" are displayed as well as the "Playlist A".
We have operated as follows.
Choosing "iPod" - "Playlists" from iPhone, only the "Playlist A" should be displayed originally.
However, the "Smart Playlist B" and the "Smart Playlist C" are displayed actually after choosing "iPod" - "Playlists" from iPhone as well as "Playlist A".
According to the above tests, we think that there is a bug in the iTunes application and it is syncing the Playlists that are not necessary.
Environment: iPhone 3G, Version 2.0.1
Environment: iTunes 7.7.1
Related feedback: iPod touch:A smart playlist for syncing with movie appears in "Music".
iTunes 7.7 allows us to purchase iPhone applications at "App Store" in the iTunes Store. We can confirm the details of the iPhone applications. However, we can confirm only the icons and the names in the Applications screen after the purchase.

(iTunes 7.7 Application screen)
How about make it possible to change to the list view as same as the Music screen does? Please add the following information at least.

(An idea for the improvement of the Applications screen)
iTunes 7.7 enables us to purchase iPhone applications at the "App Store" in the iTunes Store. In the App Store, iPhone applications are displayed as categorized before purchasing. However, iPhone applications are not categorized in the Applications screen after the purchase. It gets more difficult to see iPhone applications when the number of purchased iPhone applications increases accordingly.
How about making it possible to display a browser as same as the Music screen does? The following 2-stage classification is required.
More over, we think it is better to have a category called "eBook" since there are many electronic books already existing and to display the name of the author instead of the comment when we select this category. (Please revise so that we can modify the name of the author since its notation might differ vendor by vendor.)
